It has been lovely to have singing back at Blue Coat! In Nursery and Reception we have been using singing games to develop musical concepts such as pulse and pitch. The children have had a lovely time playing games and their singing gets better every week.
Reception children enjoyed using percussion instruments to create firework sounds and putting the sounds together to make a whole class piece. Our after school music makers groups have been introduced to percussion instruments and some rhythm notation. The children are learning how music can be used to tell a story, and as the end of term approaches we will be practising a lot of Christmas songs.
