Over the last fortnight, all children across Years 4, 5 and 6 have been taking part in the annual UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. The challenge is an international event that started in Lithuania in 2004 and has grown into a worldwide event. This year over 2.5 million learners took part in the challenge across the world.
Through doing Bebras, our children were able to practise their computational thinking skills while solving a set of accessible, puzzling, and engaging tasks. It really helped to challenge their thinking, and they showed great determination to try and complete each task! The provisional results have been published and it looks as if BCS has done very well this year.
All of those who participated will receive a certificate of achievement. Well done to everyone who took part.
Mr Hill
