On Thursday evening, pupils from Years 5 and 6 participated in a Water Polo Masterclass. It was led by Mr Coley and Miss Mockler, who have both captained their respective University first teams and Miss Mockler also competed for Great Britain for several years!

The session gave the children an opportunity to learn the basics of the sport, with lots of treading water games and shooting drills.  At the end, each year group had their own mini tournament, putting their new skills into practice. For most of them it was the first time they had ever played water polo; it was great to see them enjoying a new sport and having fun – they all did brilliantly.

Many senior schools have their own water polo teams, so this taster gave them a chance to learn the foundations of the game, something we look forward to building on in upcoming TED sessions!
