`Life is sometimes like a difficult puzzle, so going it alone can feel impossible’
These were the words of Ant McPartlin, who led this year’s NSPCC ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ online assembly. During the assembly, the children met a speech bubble called Buddy. Buddy the speech bubble believes that children should speak out if something is bothering or worrying them. This is because children have the right to speak out and be heard, be safe and get help when they need it. The children discussed ways in which children can be hurt and reiterated Buddy’s key message…Buddy says this is not ok!

Pre-Prep also talked about which trusted grown-ups to speak out to. This includes but is not limited to a parent/carer, teachers, siblings over the age of 18 and grandparents. The children worked hard to learn some actions for the Childline number – 0800 11 11. Well done Pre-Prep for listening attentively and respectfully during this important assembly!
