The Pre-Prep Eco Committee have been busy working behind the scenes to organise an event to celebrate Earth Day. Earth Day was on 22nd April, during the school break and is a special time when people think about how to look after our planet. This year, Earth Day focussed on investing in a greener future. To help achieve this we have to start small and our Pre-Prep committee decided to focus on spreading the important message of reduce, reuse and recycle. They chose to hold a book swap to encourage the children to recycle their pre-loved books and swap them for a new book that someone else had once loved. The children also organised an assembly to discuss Earth Day with the children and explain ways we can help our planet. During these assemblies, each class swapped their box of books with another class. Once back in class, the children chose their new book to take home. The event was a huge success, thank you Eco Committee.
