This week, we have been busy looking at some of the children’s reading challenge booklets within Pre-Prep. It has been amazing to see how many of the books from the BCS recommended reading list have been enjoyed and reviewed by our pupils!
We have now introduced BCS reading charts within each of the classrooms in Pre-prep so the children are able to track their progress visually! This is also a great tool to use as a cross-curricular link for subjects such as Mathematics: Data Handling. Plus the children enjoy being in charge of their own reading journey!
A special shout out to William in Nursery who has been busy working with his family creating his own activities themed around each of the books he has read!
Please keep cheerfully trying hard with the BCS Reading Challenge. It will be great to see how many of our pupils complete this by the end of the year!
