BCS took part in ‘Walk to School Week’, from Monday 16 May to Friday 20 May.

As part of the initiative, we encouraged all children to either walk, cycle or scooter their way into or home from school. Walking has so many benefits from physical to mental wellbeing; aiding concentration and creativity and creating safer, less polluted and more welcoming streets. All that makes for a happy, healthy child set up for success in and out of the classroom.

The Walk to School Team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything was in place. They have helped draft a letter to parents about the week, organised themselves into a timetable and have even found the time to judge a poster competition across Prep! Thank you to everyone who took part.

A very big well done to the following children, who have all had their designs turned into posters and hung around the school:

Sonon Hulait (3VF)

Arya Bhala (4ES)

Anabel Miller (4EB)

Tarini Vemuri (5AG)

Taneesha Shetty (5KF)

Sabreena Townsend (5BH)
