Reception had a fantastic day at West Midland Safari Park this week. We began our day with a ride around the safari. We were very lucky with the weather and this meant that the animals were all out and about exploring. The children were amazed by the range of animals they saw and were wowed by how close they got to the coach. Afterwards, we explored the remainder of the park on foot. Some of the highlights being birds landing on our heads and arms, meeting the lemurs up close and seeing the enormous pythons. The team at our animal encounter were very informative and allowed us to stroke and hold sticky the stick insect, jacky and jill the rats and Harry the corn snake. The children were all very brave; the teachers not so much! It was such a great experience for all and especially supportive to their learning.
