We were blessed with glorious sunshine for the 300th Golf Day at Edgbaston Golf Club on Friday.  It was wonderful to see the whole Blue Coat School community represented including staff, governors, parents and Old Scholars.  The course was looking splendid but in windy conditions it was certainly challenging for our competitors.  Lucy De Bono was the first of four players to ‘Beat the Pro’ on the par-3 3rd Hole, while Lee Bushell smashed his tee shot down the 9th fairway to win the longest drive competition.  Alistair Blacklaws and his team played some superb golf throughout the day and were fully deserving of the trophy having accumulated 90 stableford points.
Edgbaston Golf Club, once again, were excellent hosts and a brilliant day was had by all.
Thank you to those who sponsored parts of the day including Fraser Dental, ALDO, Essence Property and Print Xpress, and a further and special mention to Tansoo Investments who made a significant contribution to the day.
