After a two-year, Covid-related hiatus, it was particularly exciting to welcome parents to the launch of the Year 4 Heroes Event on Wednesday 22nd June.
The children had been hard at work, preparing stunning visual displays about the life story, achievements and successes of their chosen hero. Walking around the hall, it was evident the amount of time, thought and care that had gone into the displays. It was wonderful to see such a huge variety of heroes had been chosen – from medical professionals and explorers to athletes and authors.
As parents arrived at 5pm, there was an excited buzz in the Sports Hall; the children were so proud to show their hard work. Dressed as their heroes, the children explained why they had chosen this person and answered questions confidently and articulately. They excelled themselves in every respect, and their huge smiles showed how much fun they were having.
The Year 4 teachers would like to say a huge thank you to all of our Year 4 heroes, for all of their wonderful hard work, and to the parents for their unwavering support.
