One small step for a man, a great time in class for Year 2! Over the past few weeks, the children in Year 2 have been learning about Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and the moon landings of 1969. Not to forget Michael Collins, the third and often forgotten member of the mission whose perseverance and calm thinking were just as important!

On Monday, Year 2 enjoyed a visit from the Explorer Dome, a giant, inflatable dome that allowed the children to travel into the depths of our galaxy. The children had a wonderful time looking at the constellations of stars, the moon and Earth from up above.

Year 1 have also been having a fantastic time in their science lessons. Their topic this half-term has been light, and they have been busy making shadow puppets to help explore what happens when light is blocked.
