We are delighted to announce the results of this year’s 11+ examinations in which our Year 6 pupils have again excelled in their Independent and Grammar school entrance assessments.
The Class of 2022 have received an impressive 204 offers to Independent Senior Schools as well as an outstanding 82 offers for Grammar Schools. In addition, 69 children were awarded 79 scholarships to independent schools both within the region and beyond. Scholarships for academic achievement were in abundance and there were also numerous awards recognising the talents of BCS pupils in sport, music and the performing arts.
BCS pupils will be embarking on their senior school studies at leading independent institutions including King Edward’s School, King Edward VI High School for Girls, Edgbaston High School for Girls, Solihull School, St George’s School, Priory School, Bromsgrove School, Wells Cathedral School and Ipswich School.

The number of offers they have received for Independent and Grammar schools is testament to their hard work and the high academic standards which we consistently achieve at the Blue Coat School. Our pupils are supported to show ambition both within and beyond the classroom and the achievements of our Class of 2022 clearly demonstrates this.”
