About The Friends

All Blue Coat families become part of The Friends on entry to the School. An optional charge of £10 per child is added to your Michaelmas invoice.

The Friends are a committee of parents and staff who meet regularly to put on a number of very enjoyable fundraising events throughout the year including a fireworks display, Christmas and summer fayres, quiz nights and discos.

With the support of the Blue Coat School community, the committee raise funds to support and enhance the children’s experience at School, for example, stage lighting for the School Hall, playground equipment, a Christmas pantomime and the outdoor classrooms.

To view the upcoming events, visit the School Calendar.

Join The Friends

New members are always welcome to join the committee. It is a great way to get to know other parents and be involved in School life.

If parents are unable to join the committee and meet on a regular basis, they are still welcome to volunteer for individual events.

To express an interest in joining the committee, or to find out more information, please email the Chair of Friends, Sophia Ahmed: thefriendschair@thebluecoatschool.com.
