U11 Cricket v Wolverhampton Grammar Junior School 

Result: 234 – 219 Wolverhampton win

For the first week back and our first away match of the season, we played an adapted version of cricket to get more strikes of the ball. This worked to Wolverhampton’s advantage as we lost 5 wickets hitting from a tee. Unfortunately, with the grass being slightly longer due to the weather, very few runs were scored from striking the ball from an accurate full bowl. It was noted that our team seemed to have a greater understanding of backing up in the field but there is plenty to work on in the coming lessons. A good start, with plenty still to learn about this very technical sport!
