The U10 football team travelled to Hallfield School for the U10 District Cup. Placed into a group of 6, the players won all 5 of their groups games without conceding a goal with some impressive passing and moving and some sharp shooting from Zayaan, Samson, and Kavidh. The defence of Monty and Tom ensured no goals were conceded and Arya-Veer made some excellent saves in goal including an important penalty save when a game was 0-0. From the results, the team progressed into the final to play against Chadvale where after some close chances it was 0-0 at the end of full time and the game progressed to penalties. With penalties tied, it progressed to sudden death and Arya-Veer made a crucial penalty save and then Zayaan stepped up to place the penalty into the bottom corner to ensure a BCS victory and deservedly go home with the trophy.
U9 Football v Winterfold
Result: 4-0 BCS win
In a spectacular finale to their season, the U9 football team delivered a dazzling performance that underscored their remarkable progress. The match was a testament to the collective growth of the team and the outstanding development of individual players. From seamless passing to solid defence, the players showcased a level of skill and cohesion that defined their season’s journey. The bittersweet moment was beating the same team that had knocked us out of the semi final a few weeks earlier.
U8 Football v Warwick
In thrilling matches between the Year 3 pupils and Warwick School, both teams showcased remarkable skills and sportsmanship. Every pupil in the year group had the chance to shine on the field, displaying their enthusiasm for the game. With equal parts determination and teamwork, the match unfolded with exciting moments and close calls. Spectators cheered on as goals were scored and defences held strong. Despite the competitive spirit, camaraderie prevailed, fostering friendships among players. The final whistle blew, signalling the end of a spirited contest, leaving both teams proud of their efforts and eager for future matches.
