U10 Netball v The Croft

This was a very dominant performance against an inexperienced team. Players rotated through the 5 positions showing great understanding in both attack and defence. The whole team played with good footwork and were passing into space. All the girls worked well together and didn’t let their standards drop in this one sided match. Well done to all.

U10 Netball v The Croft

Miss Tucker’s Team

Our U10 team put in a fantastic effort in their match against The Croft, playing in the 5-a-side format and rotating through positions to develop their versatility. The girls showed great determination, with a strong emphasis on footwork and moving forward to meet the ball. Their passing and movement improved as the game progressed, demonstrating real promise for the season ahead.

Despite the final score of 7-3 in The Croft’s favor, our team remained competitive throughout. The opposition benefited from a few fortunate shots, but our defenders worked tirelessly to limit their chances. With continued effort and teamwork, there is plenty to be excited about for the rest of the season. Well done, everyone!

U11 Netball v The Croft

We knew that this would be a tight match from our previous encounters with The Croft. There were some excellent netball skills on display from both teams with each team scoring on their centre. Luckily, we overturned the ball and scored taking us 2 ahead. Great game although we need to give clean paces, especially after rotating. This was a good win for BCS and a great start to what I hope to be a successful netball term.

U11 Hockey v KES

A wonderful experience for the Year 5 and Year 6 boys in this team to play at the KES Southall Hockey AstroTurf. Playing against a number of Old Scholars, who were obviously a year older than the BCS boys, the team performed superbly well. Despite going 1-0 down, the side continued to work hard and equalise. Roman, Arnav, Reuben and Arya-Veer combined well in attack on the break and we continued to put the KES boys under pressure for the remainder of the half.

At the other end of the pitch, Sam and Max tackled bravely and Raj was outstanding in goal. Sahib was a constant threat in the second half and looked the most likely to break the deadlock but the KES goalkeeper made some fine saves. Most pleasingly, the boys stepped in up in the second half in terms of their willingness to close the opposition down and chase back in defence. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and a fair result in the end.
