U9 Girls’ Cricket v SolihullÂ
The U9 girls played an exciting match against Solihull, showing great determination and team spirit. In the first innings, a number of wides and no balls gave away extra runs this is something to improve on in future games. However, there were some standout moments in the field, with Heidi bowling a brilliant dot ball over and Georgia taking a lovely catch. Solihull finished on 258.
Chasing 259 to win was a big ask, but the girls rose to the challenge with some excellent batting performances. Without including extra runs, Savaiya and Georgia added 1, Tara and Matilda scored 9, Bella and Heidi contributed 12, and Arya and Mischika made a superb 27. This strong batting effort saw the team finish on 288, securing a 30-run victory.
Well done to all the girls on a fantastic win!

U11 Girls’ Cricket v SolihullÂ
Three U11 girls’ teams travelled to Solihull for a much-anticipated pairs cricket match – and they returned victorious across the board. Fortunately avoiding the rain, all three teams enjoyed dry conditions and the opportunity to put into action the skills they’ve been developing over the past term.
Throughout the matches, the girls showcased impressive technical ability and tactical awareness. Backing up, following through their bowling actions, and running sharply between the wickets – a testament to their hard work and progress in training.
Each team played with great energy and determination, convincingly winning their respective games. A special mention goes to Ava-Mae, who produced a standout fielding performance, taking three catches in quick succession. One catch in particular – a diving effort followed by a forward roll!
It was a fantastic afternoon of cricket and a brilliant display of teamwork, skill, and spirit from all involved. Well done, girls!
U11 Girls’ Cricket v WarwickshireÂ
The U11 Girls played a historic game against Warwickshire U11’s on Tuesday. Bowling first everyone bowled well restricting Warwickshire to 72 off their 20 overs. It was great to see Leela, Hannah, and Reha bowl accurately and really contribute to a great bowling and fielding display. Freya and Sonam dismissed two dangerous players for Warwickshire and then through combination of accurate bowling and good fielding we were able to restrict WCCC to a respectable total. The batting was always goingh to be tough as they had some excellent bowlers, but Summer showed real determination and her innings combined with plenty of extras meant that we won reasonably comfortably scoring the 73 runs needed with 8 overs to spare.

U11 Boys’ Cricket v Solihull
The U11 boys played Solihull on Wednesday in an excellent pairs game of cricket. Batting first all the pairs did well reaching a total of 77. Jovan and AV batted well together scoring 20 off 3 overs whilst Zar and Kunal and Archie and Sahib made 16 and 18 respectively. This looked enough on a tricky wicket, and so it proved as the bowlers took plenty of wickets with Jovan and Archie both getting numerous wickets. Kavidh, Sahib, and Zayan all bowled well but need to work at hitting the stumps more often as they are sometimes to quick for the batters so need to hit the wickets. Solihull finished on 233 so in the end it was a comprehensive victory, well done all.
