U10 Boys Cricket vs Warwick
All U10 boys enjoyed a full day of cricket, showcasing skill and teamwork. At The Blue Coat School, one hardball and one incrediball match offered competitive excitement and valuable experience. Meanwhile, Warwick Junior School hosted three fast-paced pairs cricket games using wind balls. Every pupil in the year group took part, contributing with bat, ball, and energy throughout the day. A brilliant celebration of cricket for all!

All Year 4 pupils took part in an exciting afternoon of pairs cricket against RGS: The Grange, with six matches played in total. The boys showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and developing skills across all games. Every player had the opportunity to bat, bowl, and field, contributing to a fun and competitive atmosphere. It was a fantastic occasion, full of energy and sporting spirit from both schools.
u11 Boys Cricket vs RGS: The Grange
The U11 boys enjoyed a full day of cricket, featuring two hardball matches and four six-a-side softball pairs games. In the hardball fixtures, the team showed excellent skill and determination, securing a 25-run win in one game and a thrilling 3-run victory in the other. Meanwhile, the softball pairs matches provided fast-paced action and inclusive participation, with all players contributing. A superb display of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
U10 Girls V Solihull
In their fixture against Solihull Prep, the U10 Girls delivered an impressive all-round performance. Although the opposition arrived late, the extra preparation time worked in our favour, allowing the team to start with great focus and energy.
BCS were dominant throughout, particularly with the ball. Our bowling was accurate, consistent, and regularly took wickets, putting the opposition under constant pressure. In the field, the girls backed up brilliantly, showing excellent awareness and teamwork to prevent runs and create opportunities.
While our batting was confident and composed, it was our control with the ball and sharpness in the field that stood out. The girls demonstrated a strong understanding of the game, making smart decisions and showing real maturity in their play.
A fantastic performance, and a clear reflection of the girls’ progress and growing passion for cricket. Well done, BCS!
U9 Girls V RGS The Grange
In a closely contested and spirited fixture against RGS The Grange, our U9 Girls demonstrated excellent balance across batting, but it was our superior bowling that ultimately made the difference.
From the first over, both sides showed resilience with the bat. Runs came steadily and partnerships were built, making this one of our most competitive matches to date. However, BCS regularly reasserted control through accurate and consistent bowling. Our bowlers hit lengths, rotated the strike well, and applied pressure that led to key breakthroughs.
Defensively, the team’s understanding of game situations shone through. Field placements were adjusted to respond to developing partnerships, and our bowlers executed plans with maturity beyond their years. Our consistency and clarity of game awareness truly set us apart.
Overall, an impressive display of cricketing skills, teamwork, and game sense. Well done to all players, showing strong progress and promise for many fixtures to come!
U11 Girls v RGS The Grange
On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, all of the U11 girls took to the field for an exciting set of cricket matches against RGS The Grange. With one hard ball game and three softball fixtures played, the afternoon was a true celebration of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.
Across all matches, the girls demonstrated excellent cricketing ability. Bowling was particularly impressive, with many players showing refined, consistent techniques and maintaining excellent line and length throughout.
In the field, energy levels were high, with quick, dynamic fielding helping to keep pressure on the opposition and create opportunities.
Batting was equally strong, with many girls finding the gaps and hitting confidently into pockets of space, showing great awareness and shot selection.
It really was a super afternoon of cricket, with every player contributing and showing just how far they’ve come this season. Well done to all involved!
