U9 Football Festival 

The U9 football took two teams to the U9 Football Festival at RGS:The Grange. The one team faced Winterfold, Warwick, Claines, and King’s Hawford. This team recorded one loss and three defeats and did not progress through to the final stages.

The other team faced RGS:The Grange, Hereford Cathedral School, The Elms, and King’s St Albans. This team recorded 2 wins and 2 draws and progressed through to the semi finals via goals conceded as they conceded zero goals in the group stage.

In the semi final, the team dominated possession but, unfortunately, a deflected goal meant the team were knocked out. Throughout the day, there were impressive performances with teachers and parents from other schools commenting on BCS being the best team and playing football in the right way by getting the ball down and passing and moving the ball.

Credit must go to Barron who performed amazingly all tournament scoring some fantastic goals from distance that were worthy of goal of the month on Match of the Day. He was a key player for the team winning possession back and starting attacks by passing the ball at the correct times. Well done. 

 

U11 Netball v Norfolk House 

Blue Coat fielded two teams against Norfolk House in a competitive U11 five-a-side netball fixture. Both teams displayed excellent teamwork, with players rotating positions throughout the match. Blue Coat moved the ball quickly down the court, showcasing improved passing and footwork. Norfolk House provided a strong challenge, but Blue Coat’s determination and attacking play secured narrow victories in both matches. The players demonstrated great effort, adapting well to different roles and maintaining focus under pressure. It was an exciting and well-contested fixture, with all players gaining valuable match experience. Well done to both teams!

U10 Netball v Bromsgrove

Our U10 teams had a fantastic fixture against Bromsgrove, with four teams playing 7-a-side matches. This gave all players the chance to showcase their skills in set positions and gain valuable experience.

The girls demonstrated great teamwork, determination, and adaptability, creating scoring opportunities and showing strong defensive play. Their confidence grew throughout the matches, and they put in an excellent performance.

Well done to all the players for their effort and sportsmanship – we look forward to their continued progress in future games!

 

U9 Netball v Norfolk House

On a bright and exciting day, three U9 netball teams from BCS faced off against Norfolk House in a thrilling series of matches. Each team played with exceptional skill, enthusiasm, and determination, showing clear improvement in their game throughout the match.

The players displayed a strong understanding of the game, with quick passes, excellent positioning, and effective communication on the court. Both teams demonstrated great teamwork, with BCS showing off their improved footwork and accurate shooting, while Norfolk House played with speed and strategic moves that kept BCS on their toes.

The matches were competitive and energetic, with both sides constantly pushing themselves to improve their skills. It was clear to see how much progress had been made, particularly in areas like passing accuracy, defence, and court coverage.

A standout moment came when BCS made a series of impressive interceptions, quickly turning defence into attack. Norfolk House also had their moments of brilliance, with some beautiful long passes and well-timed goals.

Overall, all the players showed real progress, and each team should be incredibly proud of their efforts. With the season progressing, it’s exciting to see how much these young athletes have developed and how they will continue to grow in the coming matches.

U11 Netball IAPS Regional Qualifiers

The BCS U11 team put on a dominant display at the IAPS Regional Qualifiers held at Millfield School, remaining undefeated throughout the entire day. The team showcased exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork as they battled through a series of tough matches to secure their place in the National Finals on the 19th of March.

From the first whistle, BCS looked unstoppable, displaying attacking flair and defensive solidity in equal measure. The team worked together seamlessly, with each player contributing to the collective effort. Their tactical awareness and ability to adapt to various opponents and positions was evident throughout the day, and they emerged victorious in every match.

BCS’s performance was particularly impressive given the quality of teams they faced at the qualifiers. Despite the pressure, the girls maintained their focus and composure, ensuring they finished the day with a perfect record. Their teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship were a testament to their preparation and hard work.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the team’s relentless spirit and ability to overcome challenges, ensuring their qualification for the National Finals. With a combination of skill, passion, and determination, BCS have firmly announced their intent to compete for the title in the upcoming national event.

The team now looks ahead to the National Finals with confidence, knowing they have what it takes to go all the way. Congratulations to the entire BCS U11 squad and bring on the 19th of March!
