U10 Harborne District Football Festival

The U10 football team took part in the Harborne District Football Festival on Monday where they performed admirably winning 3 games comfortably before losing 1-0 in the semi final. It was the only goal conceded in the whole festival, but unfortunately a lack of composure in front of goal meant that, despite peppering the opposition goalkeeper, we just couldn’t get that all important equaliser.

Nyre was outstanding all day displaying strength and real tenacity which hopefully others can learn from. Ruben was excellent in defence as well demonstrating great work ethic and a willingness to tackle. Baron from Year 4 was another who showed a great work ethic and willingness to track back and do the dirty work needed for the team. Moving forward, this team needs more players like this who are willing to put their foot in where it hurts and win those physical battles, they are all a bit to nice and need to be more aggressive in their attitude.
