Our Top Priority

The Blue Coat School is committed to the highest standards in protecting and safeguarding the children entrusted to our care.

No child should suffer harm, either at home or at School. Everyone who works in our School has a responsibility to make sure that all our pupils are safe. If you have concerns about a pupil at The Blue Coat School, no matter how small, you should discuss them with a Designated Safeguarding Lead as soon as possible.

A Holistic Approach

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils is everyone’s top priority at The Blue Coat School.

We ensure pupils are supported on every type of day through a collaborative support network including Form Tutors, Heads of Year, Pastoral Tutors and a dedicated Pastoral Team.

New pupils and pupils moving into Prep (Year 3), are also assigned a buddy to help with their transition.

The Blue Coat School have also partnered with Bounce Together to perform termly wellbeing questionnaires for all pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 to monitor and measure our pupils’ mental health and wellbeing.
