Last Friday, 23 September, saw a sea of red, green, blue and yellow t-shirts flood Warley Woods to take on the annual Scotsman Run for the Year 5 and 6 House Cross Country competition.
To everyone’s surprise, we had the Blue Coat Bear ready and waiting to greet everyone with high fives. The Scotsman Run this year was just shy of one mile, but filled with plenty of hills, undulating ground and woods to run through, it was a challenge for all abilities. It was a great test of our Blue Coat value of remaining resilient, even when our legs are tired!
A huge well done to everyone for completing the Scotsman run, and congratulations to our Year 5 winners, Freddie Wood and Esther Sun, and our Year 6 winners, Dan Tyler and Anna Newman! Finally, well done to the St George’s who were the overall winning team in this year’s House Cross Country Scotsman Run! St. Philip’s closely followed in second place, with St. Monica’s House in third place and St. Margaret placed fourth in this competition.
