Martin joined The Blue Coat School in April 2026 as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors.

As a member of the Executive Management Team, he is responsible for the School’s finances, operations, estates, compliance and governance, working closely with the Headmaster, staff and Governors to support the School’s long-term development and charitable mission.

Martin has worked as a Bursar within the independent school sector for over twenty years. Prior to this, he held finance, audit and management roles across the banking, financial services, local government and charity sectors. He brings extensive experience of financial management, operational leadership and organisational governance.

Outside school, Martin enjoys history and is a keen bridge player.
