The Truth Pixie by Matt Haig
This book was about a pixie called the truth pixie [TP]. Her aunt J casted a spell on her so she has to tell the truth even if she wants to tell a white lie. Whenever she tries to make friends she makes a tragic mistake, whilst her 38 brothers and 19 sisters are having so much fun. She has a mouse called Maarter who lives in her hair. One day she comes across a very jolly elf and an angry troll who intends to eat her because she told the truth. Adaa is a girl that the truth pixie met after the troll threw her quite far away and has a caring nature. She asked a favor that the truth pixie was unable to grant. Adaa and her family are moving to another city and she is going to lose her friends as her father lost his money.
I know learnt that you have to tell the truth. I would recommend it to people in year 3 and above because it was funny and loveable.

The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
This book is about three characters, Toad who lives in Toad Hall and Ratty and Mole. Ratty and Mole become friends and go on fun adventures together. Toad is a big show off, Toad Hall gets taken over by weasels. Whilst Mole and Ratty were on their adventures by the river bank they met badger he was nice and let them in his house.Â
I liked that Mole and Ratty become friends and go on fun adventures together.Â
I would recommend this book to year 3 or above because it was tricky to understand some of the words.

Where the River Runs Gold by Sita Brahmachari
After a terrible storm, Kairos now doesn’t have 3 things: flowers, bees and children. The result? A journey as long as the universe to Freedom Fields. However, the place isn’t free or a field- just a reincarnation of Hell. So Shifa, Themba, Luca and a hare named Lev escape and strike out into the wilderness. There, they have to face hunger, and wolves. Once they passed the threshold, they had broken the red rules. This means if they are found, they have to work double the time, so double the painstaking pollination. On their quest, they carry the truth as delicate as glass. However, they face hardships like sleeping in abandoned places and sickness, all with their pet hare! What will happen next? Read the book and find out.
I liked the book as it had lots of adventure, which I like, and each chapter had me thinking,’What will happen?’, ‘Will they be found?’ and,’ Will they make it out?’. And these are only three of the infinite questions.
I would recommend it to people interested in adventure and mystery as the characters deal with lies and fraud. They also have to go through a jungle to get to their homes. They are the people I would recommend it to.
