Planet Omar: Unexpected Super Spy by Zanib Mian – Review by Lara (3RA)
Planet Omar is about a boy who is trying to raise money for his mosque – he raises lots of money for his mosque but he has lost all his money! He tries to do it in school but he lost his money. The 1st culprit was the funny man. Was it him or not or was it Omar sleep walking?Â
I liked it especially when Omar thought his sister was the culprit, to be honest she was kind of BOSSY.Â
I would recommend the book to anyone who has an interest in spying.
Revenge of the Beast by Jack Meggitt-Phillips – Review by Elsa (4RT)Â
The book was about a young girl named Bethany who was sure that she and Ebenezer Tweezer a young Gentleman (who is actually 511 years old) will be able to debeasts their lives and do some do gooding, so they sold everything that the beast vomited out. To Ebenezer’s disappointment, he didn’t feel good he felt extraordinary lonely even though he had Claudette and Bethany. But someone is watching without being noticed…Â
I enjoy how the beast comes back in different forms and how people are calling themselves different names like Mr Clinke is actually called Mr Nicholas Nickle the Twenty-First.Â
I would recommend it to people who like funny stories and cliffhangers but also to people who like to disguise themselves into other things or changing their names like Mr Clinke (Mr Nicholas Nickle the Twenty-First) and The Beast (Claudette).
Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian – Review by Dezhen (5VF)
This book was about a boy called William Beech who had to be evacuated to the countryside because of World War 2. Luckily, he was put into the home of old but caring Tom Oakley. William makes friends but one day his mother calls him back to his old, mean home.Â
I really liked this book because there are parts that make you feel happy but then some parts that make you feel sad. Some parts could even make you cry (like me).Â
I would definitely recommend this book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes classics and anyone who likes comedy and action.
Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery – Review by Karam (6MT)
This book is about an eleven year old girl named Anne Shirley who’s parents died and she was in an orphanage. Then, two people named Matthew and Mirella decide to adopt a child. They asked for a boy around ten or eleven years old. When Matthew went to pick up their new daughter they found that it was a girl. Matthew took her to Green Gables (which is the farm that they owned) to tell Mirella. Matthew tries his best to persuade Mirella and in the end it worked and they decided in the end to keep her. Matthew is Anne’s favourite as he is very kind. Mirella is also kind at heart but she doesn’t show it. Anne makes lots of friends and has lots of fun adventures.Â
I like how the book has lots of ups and downs and you can never really predict what will happen next.Â
I would recommend this book and I would recommend it to someone who likes adventure and plot twists in their book.
