At the end of Michaelmas term, a brand-new initiative was introduced, targeting pupils with a passion for dance and gymnastics. BCS Pulse saw pupils from across Prep audition for the chance to join this prestigious group. Led by Kirsty from Mezzo Dance Company, selecting the final members was a difficult task, as all pupils showcased excellent talent and promise. However, decisions had to be made.
We would like to say a huge well done to every pupil who auditioned for BCS Pulse. In the end, a team had to be chosen, and we would like to congratulate Aoife, Lana, Eva, Azalea, Bella, Jessie, Amalia, Oreva, Annaliese and Ariana on securing a place in the group.
As soon as they could, BCS Pulse set off rehearsing every Wednesday. Under Kirsty’s expert guidance, they worked hard to develop their technique and build a dynamic routine.
On Friday 13 March, BCS Pulse lit up the Prep Disco with a spectacular performance set to “7 Years” by Lucas Graham. The energy in the room was electric as the newly formed dance troupe took to the floor, showcasing months of dedication, teamwork, and creativity. This performance was the perfect warm-up for an even bigger moment just days later.
On Sunday 15 March, BCS Pulse travelled to The ArtsHouse in Stratford-upon-Avon to compete in the Nova Dance Event and they absolutely shone on stage. Performing with confidence, passion, and precision, the team delivered an outstanding routine that earned them a well-deserved trophy.
We could not be prouder of their achievement. Congratulations to every dancer in BCS Pulse for representing the School with such talent, commitment, and spirit. This is just the beginning!
