The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl
Review by Makan (3JO)
The book was about a crocodile who wanted to eat a person but every time he gets close to a person he always gets caught and his last trick didn’t work.
I liked it when the enormous crocodile got roasted by the giant sun and turned into a sausage.
I would recommend this book for Year 3 and Year 4.
Skandar and the Phantom Rider by A F Steadman
Review by Luca (6JM)
This is a book of unicorns but they’re not the ones you think. They are blood thirsty and have a thirst to kill even with a bond with a rider. This boy Skandar has a unicorn called Scoundrel’s Luck it is a black unicorn and it has this illegal spirit element nicknamed the death element. Everyone is scared of him but there is a law about he has to stay. There are many killings of wild unicorns (unicorns that are not bonded) so the island gets angry and makes forest fires, earthquakes, hurricanes and floods but worst of all people can be controlled by their unicorn and turn blood thirsty like their unicorns. Skandar and his friends have to save the island from self destruction.
I loved this book it was filled with action and mystery. My favourite character must be Bobby she is funny brave and extremely honest (sometimes too honest).
I would recommend this to anyone it is a fun thrilling book of unicorns, also it has a series this is the second one so read the first one first.
