Charlotte’s Web by E B White – Review by Benji (3ED)

Wilbur, the talking pig, is given to a farm and makes friends with a talking spider Charlotte. Since he is the runt of the litter, he is scared that he will be killed. Charlotte saves him by spinning comments about him in her web. They form a friendship together.

I really love all of it and don’t have preferences about any particular parts of it. I love all of it! It’s just for everyone.

My Family and Other Ghosts by Lou Kuenzler – Review by Rosemarie (4JL)

This book is about two twins named Ash and Ivy. One night, they are visited by the ghost of their grandpa Digby. He persuades them to convince their father to buy a place called Grave Grange but, when they arrive, they discover that the hotel is haunted! From some unlikely guests, their grandpa Digby going missing to one ghostly dribbling hound, Ivy and Ash are faced with chaos and mayhem!

I think that the book is very lively and funny. I thought that this book was a very interesting book. I would recommend it to any age group and to anyone who likes drama and surprises!

Secrets of a Christmas Elf by Ben Miller – Review by Elana (5AG)

This book is about a girl called Holly who is Santa Claus’ daughter. Her father (Santa) gets kidnapped right before the Christmas meet and greet so Holly and her friends make a robot Santa Claus while her brothers and sisters go and get Santa. They spend Christmas together at the end.

I think this book is absolutely amazing because my favourite types of books are about people’s lives like Holly’s but one thing I dislike is how the mum isn’t very included.

I would recommend this book to people who love Christmas stories like I do.

The Shadow of the Minotaur by Alan Gibbons – Review by Alessandro (6JR)

The book is about a boy named Phoenix who is also known as the legendeer but he gets really bad headaches, until his dad lets him try out a new game that his company has been working on.

He really likes the game and eventually something bad happens and he has to try to save him and his dad.

I really like that it had a lot of adventure and mystery it’s one those books that you really want to know what happens next. I dislike that they didn’t write who was talking in some parts, so it was a bit confusing.

I definitely recommend it to people who like adventure and mystery 4.5 stars.
