Everything Awesome About Space and Other Galactic Facts by Mike Lowery

Review by Phoenix (3RB)

This book is about space and awesome technology that we use in it.

It has some interesting features to the way we communicate and go to the galaxies with space rovers. It makes me think of all the planets we haven’t explored yet. But we can still make funny jokes about it.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in space and the planets.

Secret Supervillian vs Lightning Girl by Alesha Dixon

Review by Vivien (4SM)

This book is about Lightning Girl (Aurora) trying to help find ‘the light of the world’ but she got put in prison for about 3 mins (I don’t think it is a very big deal) but sadly for Aurora her mum was furious about it. It is called Secret Supervillain Vs Lightning Girl because there is a supervillain who has been in disguise for quite a long time from Aurora. The Secret Super Villain apparently is Aurora’s relative.

I like it when Aurora and her class goes to Paris and Suzie demands Aurora to relax.

I would recommend this book to people who like adventure stories and non-stop-reading books.

Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan

Review by Aiden (5AG)

The book is about a boy called Magnus and he, Samirah(or Sam), Alex and his talking sword Jack need to get Thor’s hammer by infiltrating a marriage between Thrym and Sam. However, it’s not just walk in, kill some giants, get the hammer. Will they do it? And at what cost? I liked it because Hearth and Blitz tried to uncurl some ‘sleeping bags‘ and found out that it was actually titanium shavings later.

I would recommend it to people who like Norse mythology as the marriage part is similar to how Thor first lost his hammer to Thrym and the responses to the questions he asked.

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

Review by Dhruv (6MT)

This is about the stories of 4 people trekking across WWII Germany to reach the Wilhelm Gustloff, a ship that they are hoping will take them to refuge. However, none of them know the toll the ship will have on them…

I liked how the book switched between the viewpoints of the 4 people, showing how different they are, yet they are all trying to achieve the same goal.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy historical and non-fictional books.
