Origami Festivals: Chinese New Year by Robyn Hardyman
Review by Sophia (3JO)
The book was about how to make Chinese New Year origami and a bit about what people do on Chinese New Year. Also, this book tells you different facts about this festival.
I liked how people give each other money and that they put up lanterns to bring good luck.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes celebrating festivals and finding out what they do.

Review by Ellis (4ES)
This book is about two twins named Arthur and Maudie who have a dream of reaching south Polaris in their fictional world, The Great Wide. They lived on an airship, but after their parents died, they had been forced to move into a house with a despicable foster family that barely feeds them.
I like this book at it has an interesting adventure and a mysterious plot twist at the end.
I would recommend this book to people 7 years and over.
Varjak Paw by S F SaidÂ
Review by Peter (5VF)
This book is a fantasy text about how Varjak Paw learns The Way (seven skills that can make a cat unbeatable). Varjak Paw is a book about a kitten who lives in a house and is not exposed to the outside world. He is trapped by a towering wall along with his family. Everything was happy until a man with two black cats (or are they actually real cats?) comes, kills the owner and drags the body outside. Varjak Paw is determined to save his family, but can he do it?
I loved everything in the book! One thing I liked (a lot): Varjak had dreams in between the chapters which made me want to read more.
This is for people who love fantasy and powers. The age range is 8 – 11 although some adults might also enjoy it.
