U11 Girls Hockey BCS vs RGS

Players of the Match: Angela & Evie

Result: 5-1 BCS, 2-0 BCS

The girls made a fantastic start to their first hockey match of the term, showing great determination and confidence across the pitch. Both teams showed great determination in defence, confidently moving towards the ball and making strong attempts to tackle. Their positional awareness is also developing well, with the girls increasingly understanding where they need to be on the pitch depending on the position of the ball. The centre forwards did particularly well at remembering to stay high up the pitch, ready to receive a long pass from the defence. There were plenty of opportunities to score throughout the matches, but RGS had some excellent goalkeepers who made several impressive saves. Moving forward, we will focus on developing the power and accuracy of our shots, particularly aiming for the corners of the goal.
