The 104-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
Review by Nihal (3SM)
The book is about Andy, who had a horrible toothache and Terry tries to pull the tooth out and they had to get the Jokewriter 2000 to rewrite their book. They have added different sections to their treehouse eg: A silly hat level, a money making machine that also makes honey, a never-ending staircase, a $2 shop where there’s nothing over $2, a $2 million shop where there’s nothing under $2 million dollars, a refrigerator throwing range with a refrigerator vending machine so they never run out of refrigerators, a bun fighting level with a bun vending machine so they never run out of buns, Mount Everest, a burp bank, a tangled up level where everything is really tangled up, a deep thoughts thinking room, a Mighty Fortress reinforced with extra strong fortress reinforcer, a beautiful sunny meadow full of buttercups, butterflies and bluebirds.Â
My favourite part of the story was when the tooth fairy came and took Andy’s tooth out.
I would recommend this book to Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils who like comedy action and adventure.
I Don’t Like Poetry by Joshua SeigalÂ
Review by Tanvi (4JL)
This book is probably the most comical, hilarious and funny book to me so it should be to you too. It talks about all sorts of things from how to make you very own dog to a dog on a ceiling and poems with names like Untitled and Resolutions, to the poems with the most boring names which don’t just give a glimpse of what it might be about but they make it obvious of what its about.Â
I found it so interesting it drew me into the pages as I was intrigued and wanted to know more about it. I felt as if I were inside the book. It truly is a magical book. I liked the strange names, illustrations and rhyming words. It helps me write my own poems.
I definitely recommend it to anyone from ages 7-12 or anyone who just likes to laugh with friends and family.

Review by Aaryn (5AG)
This book was about a boy from Afghanistan who was in a war and then came to England but had a terrible journey to get to England and now he’s locked up in England. His friend is trying to help him get out and so is his Grandpa.Â
I liked the part where he helped the army in Afghanistan to rescue a bomb.
I would recommend this book to anyone over 6 years old because it might be a bit scary for any one under that age.
