U9 Girls’ Cricket v RGS The Grange
Tuesday provided a fantastic afternoon of cricket for both the players and the spectators. It was great to see the progress the girls have made with their bowling over the course of the half term, with most girls now bowling accurately with a nice straight arm.
In the field, they are starting to understand their positioning but still need to remember to back up. In batting, Blue Coat strike the ball well but were a bit tentative with their running. Next term we will focus on hitting the ball into space away from the bowler and make an early call.Â
Three close games, well done girls!
U8 Mixed Kwik Cricket v Norfolk House
Both teams were excited as we finally got to play the rearranged fixture against Norfolk House. It was great to watch pupils making runs each time they had a bowl. This helped pupils with their decision making as each child had to quickly decide if to go for 2.There was some good strong batting seen, with smiles from Eliana, Elijah and Amaya after hitting the boundary. In the field, BCS were quick to pick up the ball and field back to the wicket keeper and try to get Norfolk House out. Well played Year 3!
